incorporated in the province of
Ontario, CANADA since October
1991 and is owned and operated by
Mr. Arnold Rowe, a Jamaican
residing in Canada. Mr. Rowe has
over thirty years of experience
in business with strong financial
bias and has been active in the
Canadian and Jamaican
marketplace.
Rapid Remittance was formed
primarily to offer money transfer
services to Jamaica. Our service
allows Jamaican living in Canada,
U.K. and the United States of
America to send money quickly to
their relatives and friends in
Jamaica at a cost that is much
cheaper than is currently being
charged by the large foreign
corporations operating Money
Transfer service to Jamaica at
this time. Rapid Remittance
is now expanding it's services to

located in all 14 parishes of the
island to facilitate the quick
and efficient payment of
transmittals to customers.

paid out in JAMAICA. Our strong
network of agents has enabled us

HOW WE
OPERATE
We
operate through a network of
independent contractors (Agents)
who promote and market our
services in Canada, UK and the
United States of America. We also
act as pay out agents for other
money transfer carriers with whom
we have Correspondent agreements.
NOTIFICATION
TO RECIPIENTS
Where
the sender provides a telephone
number for the recipient in
Jamaica at the time of sending
the funds, our Jamaican office
will notify the recipient as soon
as the transfer is available for
pay out (usually within 15
minutes to half an hour). If no
telephone number is supplied we
expect that the sender will
advise the recipient that the
funds has been sent and that the
recipient should contact our
Jamaican Head Office by calling TOLL
FREE 1-888-991-2605
to make arrangement for
collection.

hours of 8.OO am to 5.00 pm
Mondays to Fridays and between
the hours of 9.OOAM to 4.00 PM on

to inquire if their transfer has
arrived and to make arrangements
to receive payment from the agent
most convenient to them
COLLECTION
BY RECIPIENT
The
recipient may collect money
transferred, from our Jamaican
Head Office or at any of our
agent location across the Island
of Jamaica. All they need to do
is go to the location selected by
the sender, or call our Jamaican
Head Office Toll Free at
(Tel: 1-888-991-2605)
and indicate at which location
they wish to collect.
Upon
the presentation of proper
identification our agent will
deliver a cheque for the amount
of funds indicated on the
transfer document. The recipient
will take the cheque to the
nearest branch of the BANK OF
NOVA SCOTIA or any other
designated bank (which is always
situated within walking distance
of our agent's location) where
they will receive their cash
immediately. There is no
holding of funds by the Bank.
PLEASE NOTE
THAT ALL PAYMENTS IN JAMAICA WILL
BE MADE IN JAMAICAN DOLLARS
Our
agent may at their own discretion
encash the cheques delivered to
recipients.
There is
no charge of any kind to the
recipient.
